Biker Jackets.. with a twist!

A biker jacket is something that I feel is a staple in most people's closets. The right one can effortlessly take you through from Winter to Spring and lets face it.. here in the UK it can probably even see us through the Summer too. Here are a couple that have caught my eye lately..

River Island / River Island / Nasty Gal / Topshop / Nasty Gal
NOTE: I'm not exactly sure what's happening with the Nasty Gal website, but the prices are changing every time I click on the page. So just take them as an estimate.

I'm absolutely loving the painted leather trend at the moment, I think it's such a nice way to spice up an otherwise plain leather jacket. The Topshop piece in particular is absolutely beautiful. I'm really tempted to have a go at DIYing something similar on one of my older leather jackets and seeing how it turns out! I'm also really loving Nasty Gal right now, it's quickly becoming one of my favourite websites for window shopping. I just wish it was UK based, because ordering from/returning to America is such a pain!


Another trend that I'm completely taken by is printed biker jackets. So many cute ones are popping up on the high-street right now, but my absolute favourite has to be the River Island tribal print one. That one may just have to find a home in my closet.


Perhaps a little out of place since I consider my blog to be mainly focused on high-street fashion, but sometimes you just need a little designer in your life. I felt like I really had to include these purely for the drool factor. Although, if you were ever going to splurge on something, you really can't go wrong with a classic biker jacket. What I wouldn't give to have any one of these babies hanging in my closet.. but, alas, short of selling both kidneys and possibly a lung, I will just have to admire them from afar. I must admit though, that I am majorly tempted by the ombré Muubaa number.. what a beauty.
